Healing In the Village
Healing in the Village is a community collaborative working to create a healing environment for the children in our community. The collaborative focuses on solutions for childhood trauma and racial disparities in physical, emotional and social outcomes through workshops, professional development days and events from January until June to promote healing and resilience in the community.
The apex event is the Healing in the Village Family Festival on June 8, 2019 from 10 am to 5 pm. The festival will be a fun way for youth and families to engage with mind, body and spirit healing practitioners to promote healing and wellness in our community. All of these efforts are in partnership with local and national experts on trauma, health and education with the help of national cosponsor, the Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color, or COSEBOC.
